Bhuvaneshwari

Bhuvaneshwari is the Queen (Ishvari) of the phenomenal world (Bhuvan). It is the prime force Parashakti, which manifests herself as the phenomenal world. As a queen, she is interested in the welfare of her subjects and resides in the hearth chakra.

Once Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva quarreled over who was supreme. When the quarrel became too serious, the Divine Mother took them to her abode, where they saw themselves as three women attendants, taking care of creation, preservation and destruction.

Bhavneshwari is one of the ten Mahavidyas - the others are Kali, Tara, Shodashi, Bhairavi, Chinnamasta and Dhumavati, Matangi, Kamala and Bagla Mukhi. The Mahavidyas represent some or other incarnation or manifestation of the Divine Mother. They are in this sense also to be regarded as Vidyas or different approaches to (tantric) knowledge.

Her bija sound is the same as that of Maya. Through the worship of Bhuvaneshwari the divine plan is realized and the illusionary nature of Maya becomes the play of the divine Leela. This brings a deep change in the emotions and in body chemistry. For Bhuvaneshwari worship, the following yantra-mandala can be used :

Bhuvaneshwari é a Rainha (Ishvari) do mundo fenomênico (Bhuvan). É a força primordial Parashakti, que se manifesta como o mundo fenomenal. Como rainha, ela está interessada no bem-estar de seus súditos e reside no chakra coração. Quando Brahma, Vishnu e Shiva discutiram sobre quem era supremo. Quando a disputa se tornou muito grave, a Mãe Divina levou-os à sua residência, onde se viam como três atendentes mulheres, tendo o cuidado de criação, preservação e destruição. Bhavneshwari é uma das dez Mahavidyas - os outros são Kali, Tara, Shodashi , Bhairavi, Chinnamasta e Dhumavati, Matangi, Kamala e Bagla Mukhi. O Mahavidyas representam cerca ou outra encarnação ou manifestação da Mãe Divina. Eles são, nesse sentido, também deve ser considerada Vidyas ou diferentes abordagens (tântrico) conhecimento. Bija som dela é a mesma que a de Maya. Através da adoração de Bhuvaneshwari o plano divino se realize e da natureza ilusória de Maya se torna o jogo do Leela divina.
